Department of Pediatrics

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with medical care of infants, children and adolescents. The department provides comprehensive support to hospital in delivering healthcare services.

The department is well equipped with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The department has pioneered the research activity in Childhood Diarrhea's and work on epidemiology of rotavirus infections.

The department organises activities like Neonatal week, ORS week and adolescent week etc. Department trains all undergraduate students in Integrated Management and Neonatal Childhood Illness (IMNCI), assessment of sick infants, well baby clinic and pediatric physiotherapy.
