Shri Veeranna Charantimath, Chairman of Basaveshwar Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhaka Sangha was born on 31st May 1958, son of illustrious statesman Late Chandrashekharayya Charantimath.
Shri Veeranna Charantimath, who has been the chairman of Basaveshwar Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhaka Sangha for the past 17 years, is a very versatile personality and his diverse interests have seen him taking up varied roles in the fields of politics, education, co-operative endeavor and upliftment of the community Under his able leadership BVV Sangha has 106 institutions, in which more than 2000 dedicated and motivated faculty. Today BVV Sangha has opened its door of knowledge to the students of different parts of India for various courses ranging from Kindergarten to Post-Doctorial courses, in traditional, technical & medical education.
Considering services rendered to poor people he is chosen as an MLA consecutively for 2 terms (2004 & 2008) to serve the community. The establishment of well equipped hospital to serve the poor people of this region was his dream project. The dream became reality in 2002 with establishment of 700 bed teaching hospital with all modern facilities. It has been his effort all throughout the career to make BVV Sangha to be socially accountable and responsible institution.
