Admission Criteria as per Government of Karnataka regulations
To be eligible for admission into M.B.B.S course, the candidate should have passed the qualifying examination P.U.C (or 10+2 equivalent examination recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) having secured not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in P.C.B taken together. (40% in case of SC/ST) Merit for selection is decided by the entrance examination result where in a minimum of 50% marks are mandatory. However in respect of SC/ST candidates the minimum percentage of marks required is 40% instead of 50%.

Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.  Candidates from outside Karnataka State must get eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Migration
Migration from one Medical College to another college after admission is generally not permitted and the Medical Council of India is the final authority to permit such change which considers only exceptional situations.
